Funniest commercial during the Super Bowl and now in regular TV rotation is the Diet Pepsi Max one with folks from valet parking attendants to sushi chefs falling asleep on the job. The music: Haddaway's throbbing “What Is Love” (“baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more”), the disco tune utilized by Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell in their memorable “Saturday Night Live” sketch portraying head-bobbing Steve (Ferrell) and Doug (Kattan) Butabi, uncool brothers on the prowl for women. In the Diet Pepsi Max spot, sleepy people take a slug of the soda (“with ginseng and more caffeine”) and snap out of their stupors, heads bobbing. At the end, Kattan himself shows up as a customer at a dry cleaners, two young women there bobbing away. “Stop it,” he yelps, on the way out. Don't stop it.
